Special 90th anniversary of the discovery of the cave - Debussy's duo in concert in the Aven d'Orgnac

Events

A concert to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the discovery!

A musical journey to the heart of the grotto, in partnership with the Festival Cordes en Ballade and the Quatuor Debussy
Two violins, an exceptional venue and a unique sensory experience: Christophe Collette and Emmanuel Bernard, musicians with the Quatuor Debussy, invite you to a timeless concert in three movements, where music marries stone, light and aromas.

In front of the grotto, a musical welcome under the sign of conviviality, with Mozart, Pleyel and the simple pleasure of getting together around music.
Then the concert plunges into the depths: the audience is divided into two groups for a unique immersive experience. While one group plunges into the fascinating natural acoustics of the cave, carried away by works by Bach, Bartók or Marc Mellits, the other enjoys the moment outside with a tasting of local wines, a subtle echo of the music resonating beneath their feet.

Finally, everyone gathers outside, under the stars, for a musical fireworks display: a festive finale in the colours of the world, from klezmer pieces to light waltzes, to celebrate music at its liveliest and most shared.

A sensory, poetic, joyful - and quite simply magical - concert.
