Valréas, the historic capital of the French cardboard box industry is still making boxes for perfumery stores, the pharmaceutical industry and food processing.
Come and share this industrial adventure with a visit to the Museum : it relates the history about the manufacturing process and printing of the cardboard boxes in this town, from the origins (middle of the XIXth century) to nowdays.
You will learn everything about the creation of the famous ‘ventilated boxes, made for dispatching « ‘silk worm seeds ».
The boxes, the printing equipment, the lithography and a reconstruction of a workshop with a video projection… will enable you to discover an industry which gained worldwide fame at the beginning of the XXth century and is still flourishing.
