La Boucle des Carrés n°20

From the car park at the entrance to the hamlet of Chaucisse, from the hiking signaletic, climb into an open area before crossing a stream in a forest section. Then continue to climb to arrive at a place called "Les Carrés". From there, cross a rather flat area and then descend to the Teurets houses. Please note that you are hiking on private properties. Please respect the surroundings of the houses and take your waste with you. In Teurets, the return to Chaucisse is made by a forest path, passing by "Les Chozalets".

TO KNOW :
Long dependent on the Church of St Nicolas, the inhabitants of this hamlet had to wait until the beginning of the 19th century before having their own place of worship, first a chapel, then a Church. And it is to one of these many Savoyard emigrants that they owe it: Joachim Dumax Baudron, born in Chaucisse in 1750 and who, having become the cook of a Marshal of Napoleon, offered his native parish the means to build a school and a chapel. Built in 1818 with the help of the inhabitants, it was raised to the rank of Church in 1828.
