Cycle route: From the stone to the pebbly terroir
Through the contrasting and hilly landscapes, this walk offers a breathtaking view of the laces of Montmirail and Mont Ventoux. You cycle in the middle of the slopes of the Orange vineyard, Courthézon, and Châteauneuf-du-Pape. This circuit combines cycling, vineyard and heritage: discover the Roman monuments of Orange, the ramparts of the 12°s. of Courthézon and the elegant Valseille Castle, the village and the remains of the Castle of the popes dating from the Middle Ages of Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Follow the direction of Avignon then Camaret/Vaison la romaine
a. Turn right past the railway bridge on chemin Nogaret
b. Turn left on Ramas Road.
c. Turn left on Chemin de la Tuilière.
d. In Courthézon, after the bridge of the Highway, take direction Châteauneuf du Pape, and follow the road direction Camping des sources.
e. e. At the roundabout, follow Font de loup
f. Turn left, then at the small stone wall, turn right on the unpaved road.
Follow the signposts in the direction of Orange, by the way of the Gardine.
g. After crossing the Pont de l'A9, turn right onto Chemin des Terracles.
