Centre spirituel Notre Dame de Myans

Built in the 15th century and restored various times in the 19th and 20th centuries, the sanctuary is formed of two places of worship, placed on top of each other.
The lower part, or the crypt, contains the miraculous statue of the Vierge Noire, whilst the upper church was devoted to the Franciscan monks who lived in the sanctuary until the French Revolution (1789).
Myans has become an important destination of pilgrimages to the Virgin Mary, who is said to have protected the sanctuary during the collapse of Mont Granier (24th and 25th November 1248).
