The Orvaz valley

To the west of High Crests of Jura, between valleys of the Valserine and the Semine, is extended an area of high limestones plateau where erosion highlighted spectacular and remarkable forms.
The Orvaz circus is a wide semicircle which disembowel the enticlinal surmounting the Bouchoux. This circus is facing to the Fauconnière Rock. The landscape is composed of a vertiginous face to face of two rocky semicircles whose axis is materialized by the Semine flow and humanized with the hamlet located in the bottom of small valley and the Orvaz openfield.
