Cluses Arve et montagnes

In the valley, you will be able to discover the Museum of Clockmaking and Screw-cutting, which will tell you everything you have to know about the Arve valley. In the town center, several shops, restaurants and bars will welcome you. Enjoy the ride along the Arve river to go to Thyez and its lakes. At Scionzier, the town is more residential and industrial, like Marnaz but there are also good addresses there. In Magland, admire its picturesque charm and go for some hikes.
To access our "balcony villages", go through the panoramic road between Cluses and Nancy-sur-Cluses, an old village marked by the story of the pedlars. Follow the road until Le Reposoir, where you will be able to admire the Carthusian Monastery (now a Carmelite convent) and pass the Colombière's pass (maybe on a bike if you feel like a champion ?). On the other side of the Bargy's mountain range, the village of Mont-Saxonnex and its famous Lake Bénit are waiting for you. On the other slope of the valley, the home town of Claude Joseph Ballaloud, importer of the clock-making knowledge in our reguion, will welcome before arriving in Araches-La-Frasse, Les Carroz and Flaine ski resort.
During winter, Romme hamlet (in Nancy-sur-Cluses), Le Reposoir and Mont-Saxonnex are small family ski resorts, ideal for beginners. In Saint-Sigismond, enjoy Agy's plateau for nordic activities.
